During my trip to London I went to Goldhawk Road which has a wide range of fabric shops, which I have used before in previous collections, using my colourway and printed textiles I used these to gather samples and swatches of fabrics to possibly be used in my final collection.

The main ones I picked were a range of satin and chiffon fine pleats, ones with a lot of metallic tones and threads, as well as high quality silk chiffons, organza's and other textured fabrics. I didn't choose printed fabrics as I wanted to use my own print designs on my garments so plain worked the best for printing.

I also got a couple of samples of some embellished laces because I wanted to develop my own one using my prints of flowers and architecture.

Following this trip I was unable to source the correct colour of mesh suitable so I will be ordering a variety of samples to match up to my colour scheme.
