Initial Line Up: Left to Right 1-6

Following on from my previous research and development in my final collection I wanted to finalise my intended line up for my final collection.

When looking at the one I had finalised before the new year I was not happy with outfit 3, 4 or 6. I didn't feel the jacket and jumpsuit combination of outfit 4 was too prom looking rather than eveningwear and the tailored jacket did not really follow with my over all theme of being fluid and asymmetrical. Outfit 4 I found that the look was too office feeling and didn't have a feeling of luxury and glamour I wanted even for a shorter length of dress. Finally, outfit 6 did not fit the feminine and romantic style of my collection as the other outfits have.

After my feedback I have received I decide to go back into my European city research and look at t he architecture and silhouettes and shapes to influence the new designs. I was mainly influenced again by Rome and its key historical attractions of the Colosseum and the Trivi Fountain.

I wanted to incorporate this into the fit of the garments, using the silhouette and shape of the colosseum I felt this could be developed in my garment by using this around the body as the shape of the architecture is a sphere with a centre.

As more of my prints are repeated and geometric I was given feedback to develop further into a feature print which is a centre point to one of my garments, therefore I chose the Trivi Fountain photograph I took as there is a lot of detail and fantasy within the image with the horses and roman gods as well as the architecture detail. Which I could then develop into a screen print, foil print, hand embroidery or machine embroidery.
